MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Indiana Wesleyan Women's Swim team began the 2020-2021 season with two victories over Bethel and Olivet Nazarene on Saturday afternoon at the Elkhart Aquatics Center. 

IWU defeated Olivet Nazarene 149-112 and Bethel 160 - 102.

• 500 Free - Erica Samuel - 5:16.29
• 1650 Free - Erica Samuel - 18:22.10
• 100 Back - Olivia Cummins - 1:01.04
• 100 Fly - Hallie Hunt - 1:01.96
• 400 IM - Erica Samuel - 4:43.48
• 400 Free Relay - Abbe Hershberger, Kinsey Price, Khloe Price, Hallie Hunt - 3:43.88

VERMILYA PERSPECTIVE

• This was a great start to our competitive season. Walking away with the wins feels great; but having so many of our athletes swim well, compete fully, encourage each other, and rack up a bunch of great times feels lke the real achievement today.
• Our team has put in a lot of hard work so far and today was an encouraging glimpse of what's ahead. 

NEXT TIME OUT

• Indiana Wesleyan hosts Bethel on October 31 at noon for the home opener in the De Voe Natatorium.
