MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s soccer kicked off League play Wednesday on the road at Mt. Vernon Nazarene. After two first-half goals by both squads, the match would be sent to overtime with MVNU collecting a goal just 90-seconds in.

Filipe Mendonca put IWU on the early, netting his ninth goal of the season.   

BY THE NUMBERS

• IWU fired off more shots, but MVNU landed six on frame while IWU landed three.
• Both teams recorded 17 fouls in the match with IWU collecting three yellow cards and MVNU collecting two.
