MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s soccer went to double overtime for their second straight game Wednesday afternoon. Both teams scored a goal in each half. Philipp Basara and Filipe Mendonca scored the pair of goals for the Wildcats. Both teams failed to score a goal in overtime, ending the match in a 2-2 tie. The Wildcats are now 2-1-3 on the season.

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Wildcats fired off 10 shots, landing four on goal. Olivet placed 12 of their 26 shots on goal.
• Four yellow cards were handed out in the match with three going to the Wildcats and one to the Racers. There were also a total of thirty fouls split evenly among the two teams.
• Aaron Carr tallied 10 saves in the contest, while Mark McMillian saved two for the racers.

WHAT’S NEXT

• The Wildcats travel to Rio Grande (Ohio) for a matchup against #5 Rio Grande on September 14th. Play begins at 7:00p.m. at Evan Davis soccer field.
