HILLSDALE, Mich. – Kamryn VanWanzeele became the latest Wildcat to earn a spot in the NAIA National Championships Friday, swimming a 1:00.97 in the 100 fly to qualify. VanWanzeele is now the seventh individual headed to NAIA National Championships and will be joined by Sydney Darnell and Whitley Eicher who will also be swimming in the 100 fly.
Despite taking home four first-place finishes and three-second places in the head-to-head meet against Hillsdale College (NCAA DII), the Wildcats would fall 133-71.
DALRYMPLE PERSPECTIVE
- Tonight’s meet was part of the training cycle we are in as we head into our conference meet in two weeks, and then NAIA Nationals in a month. The girls swam solid races and we had an added surprise in adding Kamryn to our national qualifiers list! Now we turn our focus toward our initial appearance at the Mid-South conference and exciting swims ahead!
NEXT TIME IN THE WATER
- The Wildcats will hit the water on January 31st participating in the programs first conference championship meet in Kingsport, Tennesse. The three-day Mid-South Conference Championships will feature nine different universities.
