Men?s T&F Finishes Third at Crossroads League Championship

MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University had two champions and 18 All-League performances at the Crossroads League Men’s Track and Field Championship held at Wildcat Track. Indiana Wesleyan earned third place in the league championship meet.

League Champions!

  • Andrew Hamilton (SR/Warren, Ohio) earned the Crossroads League championship in the 400-Meter Hurdles. Hamilton and Taylor’s Noah Clayton tied for the event title as the photo finish was indistinguishable on video.
  • Nick Jones (SO/Crown Point, Ind.) captured the Crossroads League championship in the Triple Jump. His jump of 43 feet 7.25 inches won the title by half a foot.

     

All-League Performers!

  • Indiana Wesleyan boasted 18 All-Crossroads League performers. Anyone who places in the top-three of an event are named All-League.
  • The Wildcats earned a pair of All-League performances in the 800-Meter Run. Grant Keaffaber (SR/Wabash, Ind.) was runner-up with a time of 1:55.64 while Josh Neideck (SO/Upland, Ind.) earned third place in 155.87. Keaffaber was the only runner to score in the event from the second heat.
  • Josh Neideck doubled up on All-League honors as he placed third in the 1,500-Meter Run, the same place he finished in the 800. Neideck ran the 1,500 in a time of 3:57.52.
  • Steven Osladil (SR/Hanover, Pa.) was runner-up in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase. He crossed the finish line in a time of 9:28.75.
  • The 4x400-Meter Relay team of Noah Stratton (SO/Bluffton, Ohio), Daniel Isaacs (JR/Beavercreek, Ohio), Josh Neideck, and Connor McKnight (SR/Berea, Ohio) ended the championship with a third place finish. They ran a time of 3:20.30 in the final race of the meet.
  • The 4x800-Meter Relay team was third place in a time of 7:49.90. Michael Olson (SO/Parker, S.D.), Joshua Sommers (SO/Greentown, Ind.), Jordan Dekker (JR/Saint John, Ind.), and Conner McKnight ran for the Wildcats.
  • Indiana Wesleyan had two of the top three in the High Jump. Michael Moffitt (SR/Marion, Ind.) was second place with a height of 6 feet 9 inches while Anthony Colangelo (FR/Frankfort, Ill.) took third place at 6 feet 8 inches.
  • Josiah Marx (JR/Greenville, Ind.) took second place to teammate Nick Jones in the Triple Jump. Marx earned the runner-up finish with a jump of 43 feet 1 inch.
  • Brennan Coil (FR/Millersburg, Ohio) finished third in the Shot Put on Thursday. Coil had a throw of 50 feet 10 inches.

 

Extra! Extra!

  • With Andrew Hamilton’s tie for the 400-Meter Hurdles championship he became a four-time Crossroads League champion in the event.
  • Josh Neideck earned three All-Crossroads League honors as he was top-three in 800-Meter Run, 1,500-Meter Run, and the 4x400-Meter Relay.

  • Indiana Wesleyan competes on Wednesday at the Illinois Invitational in Champaign, Illinois.
