SUNBURH, Ohio -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women’s golf team captured a third place finish on Tuesday at the Crossroads League Championship in Sunburh, Ohio. IWU closed out the championship on Tuesday with their best round as they turned in a 330 to maintain their third place standing.

What Went Down
- Indiana Wesleyan completed the third and final round of play on Tuesday at the Crossroads League Championship.
- The Wildcats maintained third place which they held after two rounds on Monday.
- Marian (Ind.) won the Crossroads League Championship with a 965 (321-328-316) while Bethel (Ind.) was runner-up with a 992 (325-336-321). Indiana Wesleyan carded a 1,019 (343-346-330) and was 25 strokes better than fourth place Saint Francis (Ind.).
- Maggie Kaiser (JR/Belvidere, Ill.) led Indiana Wesleyan with a sixth place performance. She turned in a final card of 246 with rounds of 84-80-82. By placing in the top-10, Kaiser was honored as an All-Crossroads League performer.
- Annika Harmon (FR/Jasper, Ind.) just missed placing in the top-10 as she was 11th place in the 44 player field. Harmon turned in a three round score of 255 with rounds of 84-87-84.
- Brooke Fullenkamp finished just one stroke behind Harmon with a 256 for 12th place. Fullenkamp earned scores of 91-86-79. Her 79 on Tuesday was the lowest round for a Wildcat at the tournament.
- Carley LaPlant (SO/Adrian, Mich.) was tied for 20th place with a final score of 262. She had rounds of 84-93-85.
- Kelli Sewell (JR/Greenville, Ohio) was the final Wildcat in 40th place with a 321. Sewell shot rounds of 97-111-113.

- Marian (Ind.) will represent the Crossroads League at the NAIA National Championship as they earned the automatic bid by winning the league championship.
- Annie Smith of Bethel (Ind.) won individual medalist honors with a 234 (77-81-76) to win by four strokes. She also earned an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship with the win.
