Women?s Golf Third Heading to Crossroads League Championship Final Round

SUNBURH, Ohio -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women’s golf team is in third place after two rounds of play at the Crossroads League Championship. The Wildcats shot a two-round score of 689 and trails Marian (Ind.) and Bethel (Ind.) for the league championship.

What Went Down

  • Indiana Wesleyan shot rounds of 343 and 346 for a first day score of 689. IWU is third place behind leader Marian (Ind.) with 649 (321-328) and second place Bethel (Ind.) with 661 (325-336).
  • Maggie Kaiser (JR/Belvidere, Ill.) was the low card for the Wildcats on Monday with a two round total of 164 (84-80). Kaiser is fifth in the field of 44 players.
  • Annika Harmon (FR/Jasper, Ind.) fired a 171 (84-87) and is 12th in the field.
  • Carley LaPlant (SO/Adrian, Mich.) (84-93) and Brooke Fullenkamp (91-86) are tied for 19th place as they each turned in scores of 177.
  • Kelli Sewell (JR/Greenville, Ohio) was the final Wildcat as she is 39th place in the field. Sewell shot rounds of 97 and 111 for a score of 208.

  • The winner of the Crossroads League Championship earns an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship which is May 17-20 in Pooler, Georgia.

  • The third and final round of the Crossroads League Championship will be played at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
