MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men’s golf team placed third overall at the USF Cougar Spring Invitational in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There was a total of nine teams at the invitational that was shortened to one round because of inclement weather on Saturday.

What Went Down

• Taylor won the nine team invitational with a score of 305. Indiana Tech was runner-up at 308 with Indiana Wesleyan on their heels with a 310.
• Nick Schad (FR/Columbus, Ohio) had the low card for Indiana Wesleyan with a 76. He placed 6th out of 61 golfers.
• Jake Coffey (JR/Columbus, Ind.) was one stroke behind Schad with a 77. He tied for eighth place.
• Blake Russell (SR/Monticello, Ind.) fired a 78 on Friday to tie for 14th place in the field.
• Patrick Hardy (FR/Ellicott City, Md.) and Ethan Luecke (SO/Warrenton, Mo.) were among seven golfers who tied for 23rd place as they all shot an 18-hole score of 79. Hardy was a scorer for Indiana Wesleyan while Luecke played as an individual.
• BJ White (JR/Sweetser, Ind.) was the fifth Wildcat on the team and he shot an 80 for 30th place.
• Drew Cahill (SO/Terre Haute, Ind.) and Ryan Cahill (SO/Terre Haute, Ind.) both played as individuals. Drew carded an 82 for 38th place while Ryan had an 88 for 56th position.

• Indiana Wesleyan hosts the Wildcat Cup at The Brickyard on April 11-12 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The two day tournament will be played at the golf course that plays around and inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
