Women?s Golf Wins MVNU Spring Invite by 27 Strokes

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Three Wildcats placed in the top-five as Indiana Wesleyan University women’s golf won the MVNU Cougar Spring Invitational in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Annika Harmon (FR/Jasper, Ind.), Carley LaPlant (SO/Adrian, Mich.), and Brooke Fullenkamp were all within one stroke of each other and they all placed in the top-five to lead IWU.

  • Indiana Wesleyan won by 27 strokes on Saturday as they turned in a two-round total of 666. IWU had a first round total of 329 and finished with a 337.
  • Annika Harmon had the low card for the Wildcats with a 162 (81-81). She placed third out of the 22 golfers in the field.
  • Carley LaPlant (78-85) and Brooke Fullenkamp (81-82) both shot a 163 to tie for fourth place.
  • Maggie Kaiser (JR/Belvidere, Ill.) tied for ninth place as she turned in a 178 (89-89).
  • Kelli Sewell (JR/Greenville, Ohio) completed the tournament with a 213 (103-110) to place 18th in the tournament.
