COACH FOSS SAYS…
- Coach Foss on Crossroads League champion Sarah McBeath…
“Sarah did amazing. She took the lead right at the beginning. It wasn’t what we wanted to do. We wanted to wait a little bit and let someone else be the target. But she felt good and took that lead from the beginning, smiling the whole way. She seemed to get faster after every kilometer and just dominated down the stretch. That’s a personal best time for her in the 5K.”
- Coach Foss on the team performance…
“Every girl but one had a season best time today. That’s a great way to end the regular season. Taylor is an outstanding team. We didn’t have our No. 2 runner in Rebecca Groh. Even with her we wouldn’t have beat Taylor but it would have been closer. But the other girls all stepped up and things went really, really well.”
UP NEXT FOR MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
- Indiana Wesleyan will wait and see if the team earns a trip to the NAIA National Championship later this month at North Farm Cross Country Course in Elash, Illinois
