SILVIS, Ill. -- The final round of the NAIA Fall Preview was contested today as Indiana Wesleyan University men’s golf earned a 15th place finish in the 24 team field at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
Indiana Wesleyan was 12th place following first round play on Monday but fell three spots on Tuesday despite taking five strokes off their score. Indiana Wesleyan ended the preview with a two day score of 629 with rounds of 317 and 312.
Jake Coffey (JR/Columbus, Ind.) turned in the low card for Indiana Wesleyan with a final score of 151 (78-73). He finished 13th in the 120 player field. Ethan Luecke (SO/Warrenton, Mo.) shot a 154 (79-75) for 27th place and BJ White (JR/Sweetser, Ind.) turned in a 159 (77-82) for 54th place. Blake Russell (SR/Monticello, Ind.) ended at 165 (83-82) for 89th position and Drew Cahill (SO/Terre Haute, Ind.) had a 172 (84-88) for 107th place.
Coastal Georgia won the NAIA Fall Preview with a 595 (302-293) to edge Oklahoma City (Okla.) by three strokes. Oklahoma City had a 598 (307-291) while William Woods (Mo.) was third place at 600 (311-289).
The tournament brings a close to the 2015 fall season for Indiana Wesleyan. The team returns to action for the spring season later this school year.
