WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men’s golf played its third tournament in a week as they competed at the Taylor Spring Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Indiana Wesleyan finished fourth in the nine team tournament. The competition was shortened to 18 holes after Tuesday’s second round was canceled due to cold and windy weather conditions.
Holy Cross (Ind.) won the tournament with a 318 team score to defeat host Taylor (Ind.) by one stroke at 319. Bethel (Ind.) placed third with a 322 while Indiana Wesleyan captured fourth place with a team score of 327.
Dalton Miller (JR/Jonesboro, Ind.) had an outstanding performance as he was third in the 46-golfer field. Miller fired a 5-over par, 77. Zac Kinch tied for 21st place with an 82 while Jake Coffey (FR/Columbus, Ind.) and Taylor Fletcher (FR/Arcadia, Ind.) each shot an 84 to tie for 25th position. Brennan Booker played as an individual and turned in an 81 for 12th place.
Indiana Wesleyan next competes at the Crossroads League Championship in two weeks at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis, Indiana. The two day championship will be held April 29-30.
