PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. -- Indiana Wesleyan University closed its 2014 fall season today with a sixth place finish at the NCCAA Men’s Golf National Championship in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Indiana Wesleyan fired scores of 309-311-305 for a three round total of 925. Indiana Wesleyan and Southern Wesleyan tied for sixth place in the 12-team field.
Colorado Christian won the NCCAA national championship with an 892 and won by five strokes over Oklahoma Christian with an 897. Dallas Baptist (Texas) claimed third place with a 901, Lee (Tenn.) earned fourth place at 902, and Oklahoma Wesleyan was fifth place at 905.
Dalton Miller (SR/Jonesboro, Ind.) had an excellent tournament and was named NCCAA All-American for placing in the top-10. Miller shot a three round score of 224 with rounds of 72-76-76.
Jake Coffey (SO/Columbus, Ind.) earned a 230 (76-78-76) for 21st place and Blake Russell (JR/Monticello, Ind.) fired a 232 (78-77-77) for 25th position. Ethan Luecke (FR/Warrenton, Mo.) shot a 244 (84-80-80) to place 44th and BJ White (SO/Sweetser, Ind.) carded a 245 (83-86-76) for 45th place.
The fall season is over and Indiana Wesleyan will return to the links in the spring season.
