WINONA LAKE, Ind. -- The No. 25-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University women’s cross country team had a great race today and finished runner-up at the Crossroads League Championship, hosted by Grace (Ind.) in Winona Lake, Indiana.
“We had a great day,” said Indiana Wesleyan head coach John Foss. “Four girls made all-league. We went hard after this one and challenged Taylor but they were able to hang on and beat us in the end. But we ran a great race as we closed our gaps and dropped our times. Definitely showed a lot of strength today.”

The quartet of Isabel Wharton, Kayla Ewert, Alyssa Foss, and Brooke Horswell earned All-Crossroads League by finishing in the top-15. Wharton led the Wildcat pack of four runners with an 8th place finish in a time of 19:05. Ewert was next in ninth at 19:07, Foss was 11th with a time of 19:11, and Horswell was 12th at 19:14.
