VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Andrew Albert and Matt McAndrews represented the Indiana Wesleyan University men's cross country team as individuals at the NAIA National Championship today at the Fort Vancouver National Historical Site in Vancouver, Washington.
"Andrew did a great job in the national championship meet," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach John Foss. "Andrew ran his second best time ever. And Matt also ran very well today. He also had a very good time."
Albert ran a time of 25:38 over the 8,000-meter course. His time was good for 87th overall in the 312-runner field. McAndrews took 153rd place overall. He ran a time of 26:09.
"The course was pretty rough today," said Foss. "It had rained a lot and the course was pretty muddy."
With the race at the national championship, the 2011 Indiana Wesleyan cross country season comes to a close.
