Box Score MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men's soccer scored early and often in a 6-1 victory over Grace (Ind.) College on Wednesday night in the NCCAA Midwest Regional semifinal at Wildcat Field.
Mason Bragg scored the first of two goals on the night in the fifth minute of play as the Wildcats led throughout. David Trainer added a tally in the 20th minute as Indiana Wesleyan led 2-0 at the half.
Nick Fortini pushed the lead to 3-0 in the 52nd minute but Grace finally connected for a goal in the 70th minute as IWU led 3-1.
Indiana Wesleyan quickly answered with three goals in the next four minutes of play to put the match away with a 6-1 advantage.
The Wildcats out-shot the Lancers 22-6 on the evening and 12-3 in shots on goal.
Indiana Wesleyan advances to the NCCAA Midwest Regional Final at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, as the Wildcats host Spring Arbor (Mich.) University at Wildcat Field. The winner will automatically advance to the NCCAA National Tournament.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students. With a canned good, the price drops to $3 for adults and free for students.
