Box Score MARION, Ind. -- Senior Ben Chleboun received a crossing pass from sophomore David Trainer which he promptly placed over the Huntington (Ind.) University goalkeeper's head to the far post to score the golden goal for the Indiana Wesleyan University men's soccer team in the Mid-Central College Conference Tournament First Round match on Saturday night.
The Wildcats mobbed Chleboun after netting the sudden death goal just one minute 24 seconds into the first overtime as Indiana Wesleyan completed the 1-0 victory.
Indiana Wesleyan controlled the tempo most the night and pelted away at the Forester defense. IWU put had a 15-3 advantage on shots but could not find the back of the net until regulation was over.
IWU goalkeeper Spenser Lang made three saves in net for the shutout win, including a gem as a Huntington forward broke free from the Wildcat defense late in the second half.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 12-7-0 on the season while the Huntington season ends with a 6-10-2 mark.
The Wildcats will play next Saturday, November 8, and will host Goshen (Ind.) College in the MCC semifinals.
